Our Calendars

A calendar of Wyoming history has come off the Society’s press every year since 1981. Two dozen historic photographs gathered around a theme, and an almanac of what happened in this state, matched to the day.

2027 Calendar: Art & Artifacts

Tracing Wyoming’s history through the hands of its creators

Published yearly since 1981 · 11 by 14 inches · Full colour

Each month carries photographs of artifacts significant to Wyoming’s history, or artwork made by Wyoming artists. Every day carries a tidbit of state history that fell on that same weekday, so a Tuesday entry happened on a Tuesday.

Since 1981

The first Wyoming Historical Calendar was published forty-five years ago, and one has followed every year since.

A theme a year

Each edition gathers more than two dozen images around a single subject, chosen fresh for that year.

Dated to the day

Daily entries are matched to real dates wherever the record allows. If it says something happened on a Tuesday the 6th, it happened on a Tuesday the 6th.

Where to find one

Calendars are stocked by shops and museums across Wyoming, so the price varies by where you buy. The Society sells them directly at store.wyshs.org.

If you cannot find one locally, write to the Society at P.O. Box 82, Riverton, WY 82501, or call 307.322.3014.
