October 11 · Departs from Riverton

Step into the Wind River country to explore the contrast between Gilded Age ambition and frontier conflict. Before departing Riverton, learn about the hallowed grounds of the Bates Battlefield, then travel on to the legendary Lost Cabin, the desert empire built by “Sheep King” JB Okie, and tour his grand stone mansion.

Comfortable transportation and lunch are included, and there is an optional two-mile hike up Battle Butte.
